Other tips – BEFORE THE STORM
To prepare for a winter storm, you should:
  • Build an emergency kit and make a family communications plan. http://www.ready.gov/make-a-plan
  • Be prepared for power and communications failures
  • Have food and water prepared for at least 72 hours
